Apply now to be on BICCS Council: Help shape the field in which we work
Two Adult Cardiology representatives and one Academic representative are now open for applications. As always, we would encourage any current BICCS member to consider standing for Council.

BICCS is an organisation which is run by a Council of volunteers who are elected by BICCS members. Elections are held every year, and three posts are now open for applications:
Adult Cardiology Representative (2 posts)
Academic Representative (1 post)
Working on the BICCS Council is extremely rewarding and allows you to help shape the field in which we work. BICCS is involved in many different projects and developments, and there will be plenty of opportunities to help guide strategy and policy and influence how services are delivered nationally. This is an especially exciting time as we establish our new identity as the British Inherited Cardiovascular Conditions Society (BICCS).
All posts are held for 3 years with eligibility for re-election for a further 3 years.
We have introduced 4 permanent committees within the BICCS Council:
National Survey and Data
Education and Conference
Strategy
Website and Digital
There would be an expectation that Council members would contribute to at least one of the committees – each chaired by a BICCS Officer.
Who is eligible to apply?
We welcome interest from anyone who is a current BICCS member and would like to join the Council. The successfully elected candidates will officially join Council for our next meeting to be held on Tuesday 7th July 2026.
