Welcome to BICCS
BICCS (formerly the AICC) undertakes a range of activities to support improvements in the diagnosis, treatment and outcomes of people with an inherited cardiovascular condition including:

Establishing the National Directory of ICC Services - a resource indexing where ICC services are provided with detailed referral pathways

Contributing to and endorsing BCS consensus statements on cardiovascular disease in women and strategies to improve research participation in female patients

Building partnerships with the charitable sector and patient support groups

Contributing to national strategies for service development via the NHSE service specification for ICCs

Providing education and training for specialist and non-specialist healthcare professionals

Holding a two-day annual conference for healthcare professionals across the UK

Developing a web portal for BICCS members to promote education, training and networking

Establishing a national Working Group to develop a network model for service delivery

Contributing to a BCS and NHSE Working Group focusing on diagnostic imaging in Cardiology
-
Working closely with other Affiliated Societies of the BCS on joint projects

Establishing clinical audit as a means of guiding national strategy decisions
