Clinical Cases
This is an opportunity to share learning from an interesting clinical case with your peers. The case should be clear and educational, not necessarily rare or unusual. Patients must not be identifiable.
The highest ranked clinical cases will be invited for oral presentation in a dedicated session at the BICCS annual conference on 11th December 2025 at The Minster Building, London EC3. Following the session the top clinical case will be selected and the presenter will receive a certificate and prize of £100 at the close of the conference.
A selection of high ranking clinical cases will also feature in our ‘clinical case of the month’ on the BICCS website during 2025-2026.
Submissions are welcome from clinical and research physicians, nurses, clinical scientists, cardiac physiologists, other allied healthcare professionals and medical students.

Deadline for submissions: 30th October 2025
Guidance: Maximum word count 350 words. Figure / Table may be included.
Follow the basic rules of medical communication. Report the case in sequence. Describe the history, examination and investigations. Include a key message. Only submissions in this format will be considered.

Abstracts
In this section we welcome abstract submissions related to academic, clinical and scientific research and projects in service development and quality improvement.
The highest ranked abstracts will be invited for oral presentation in a dedicated session at the BICCS annual conference on 12th December 2025 at The Minster Building, London EC3. Following the session the top abstract will be selected and the presenter will receive a certificate and prize of £100 at the close of the conference.
A selection of high ranking abstracts will also be invited as poster presentations at the BICCS annual conference.
Submissions are welcome from clinical and research physicians, nurses, clinical scientists, cardiac physiologists, other allied healthcare professionals and medical students.
