Helena Davison
Cardiac Nurse Specialist ICC Service (West of Scotland)

Helena Davison is a Cardiac Nurse Specialist within the West of Scotland Inherited Cardiac Conditions Service. She currently leads on a British Heart Foundation funded project focused on improving care pathways and support services for individuals and families affected by sudden cardiac death (SCD) and out-of-hospital cardiac arrest (OHCA) across Scotland.
In her role, Helena provides specialist support to patients and families following SCD and OHCA, coordinates multidisciplinary care, and contributes to service development at both regional and national levels. Before joining the inherited cardiac conditions team, she worked in cardiothoracic intensive care, gaining extensive experience in the management of patients with complex cardiac conditions.
Helena is passionate about delivering compassionate, person-centred care and improving outcomes for individuals and families affected by inherited cardiac conditions. Her interests include service improvement, family support, education, and pathway development that promotes equitable access to specialist care across Scotland.
As a member of the BICCS Nursing & Midwifery Forum Committee, Helena is committed to supporting professional development, collaboration, and excellence in cardiovascular nursing and midwifery practice.
