Amy Hardy-Wallace

I have worked at Basildon and Thurrock University hospital for 19 years and have always specialised in Cardiology. Initially I work on the acute cardiac ward, moving into Cardiology Research and then had the privilege of working as an acute in reach heart failure nurse. I was honoured to launch the Essex ICC Service with Consultant Cardiologist, Dr Dungu in January 2023. Essex was proud to launch the Mavacamten Service in March 2024 as one of the first 5 centres in the country.

I completed my Masters pathway in Advanced Clinical practice, and this has supported me empowering and managing our local ICC patient cohort. I have a passion for research and have been involved in publishing several relevant papers, supporting the management of Cardiomyopathy patients.

I enjoy public speaking and subsequently raising the profile for the ICC Service and have been honoured to speak at local conferences and national events.

I am passionate about nurse education, and we are committed to close charity working, we are proud to be affiliated with the SADS charity and facilitate a local support group.
